Saturday afternoons have a magic all of their own. Even when the sky is overcast, they still seem to have a golden glow. Everyday chores have a strange beauty to them, and everything is captivating. My Saturday turned out relatively productive too; we made up a bunch of dried fruit and nut mixes, I worked on homework whilst drinking coffee, my drawers are very organised, and I got a batch of photos printed up, as well as baking peanut butter biscuits and writing newspaper blackout poems.
Maybe this is just me, waking from a paracetamol-induced stupor. I'm feeling much better after a week of feeling manky and even taking a day off yesterday, and the simple act of putting on makeup and a pretty dress has made the whole world feel new and exciting. I feel ready to take on just about anything.
How was your Saturday?
p.s. yesterday, after watching too many reruns of cash in the attic, i caved and started a tumblr.

yes, yes, yes. because of our 6-hr time difference, my saturday is still in the making. right now i am breaking from organizing and my plans include shopping at anthro + newspaper blackout poems + volunteering at the opera with mommy.

Oh, Anthro! I'm jealous! And thank you.
DeleteSaturday afternoons are beautiful. I love the quiet ones best. When simply living is lovely.
ReplyDeletesounds lovely... a Saturday that is magical-like. Mine are usually terrible and go on for so long that I feel like crying. :( today was no exception! but I did take some lovely photos. hopefully I will be posting them soon!

I'm sorry that your Saturdays are not so fun, but I'm looking forward to seeing your photos.
DeleteI love Saturdays as well. So relaxing + refreshing :)
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean about Saturdays Libby - I like to have Saturday as my school work and generally-being-productive day and then have Sundays to relax or go and meet friends or shop. Have a great week x
ReplyDeleteThis is where I embarrassingly say that, I still have a self-portrait, a painting and an artist analysis to be completed. But I've done all my boring homeworks already, at least!
