i am as constant as a northern star

c is for candles

I like Februarys. How they hold a break and a whisper of spring and a promise that it will be warm again soon.
We are expecting snow here this weekend. I doubt that it will manifest into much--the snowy weather always seems to pass over us! The anticipation is almost enough, though. Everyone is hunkering down, checking the forecast and pulling out an extra blanket. Dreams of hot chocolate and snow flakes are enough most of the time. It is cold here right now; it was -5 on the way to school this morning, which is pretty nippy for England.
As well as snow, this weekend holds photography projects, a printing workshop, a birthday party and some fun projects for Fernweh.
Tonight, I'm playing Joni Mitchell on repeat and writing essays, supplemented with a cup of tea. Somehow it feels pretty magical.

xx

p.s. post title comes from this Joni Mitchell song. I also kinda like the James Blake cover. oh, canada...

  3. -5 degrees? I can't even imagine. That seems so, so cold ! I love your little elephant candle holders, and your writing flows so sweetly. Have a lovely weekend!

  4. I hope it snows for you! A year ago, I remember it being frigid, but now it's incredibly mild and spring-like. Strange.
